Two Wonderful Years

This past June 26th was our two year anniversary. Jared planned a date night for the two of us. It was fantastic. First we went to the Belden Village Mall. It was our two year anniversary, so our gifts to each other had to be cotton. Jared took me to Build-A-Bear and let me make my own stuffed animal.

Meet Ankin Skybarker. He is so cuddly!

After our Build-A-Bear adventure, we went to Red Lobster. It is where we got engaged in 2008. Jared got the snow crab. It was ridiculously hard to eat, and it looked like it was wearing armor. I was content with my shrimp and yummy rolls.

Later that night, we went to the movies to see Brave. It was amazing. I think I may have enjoyed it as much, if not more, than the children in the movie with us. Even though it was a "princess" movie, it was all about Merida and her relationship with her mother. I will admit that it made me tear up, not that tearing up is unusual for me.

The whole night was absolutely wonderful. I am so blessed to have Jared in my life. The past two years have been quite the adventure, and I can't wait to spend the rest of forever with him. :)

Clearing the Dust

Once again I have let this blog collect dust. Lately I have been wanting to start blogging again. My life has become more exciting in the past few months, and I have been inspired by blogs such as The Rock Star Diaries Yes, I know that is a lot to live up to, but I at least want a blog that I can be proud of.

A lot has happened since I first started this blog (if you want to call that starting).

I graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Integrated Language Arts. Thankfully the job search went rather quickly, and I am excited to say that I have been hired at Harrison Central High School in Cadiz.

I went to Cedar Point for the first time in my life.... quite an accomplishment!

I was in my first ever car accident. Thankfully, it was very small. The guy I backed into drove away, so all I was left with was this tiny scuff and a broken taillight.

Day Nine

Long time no blog! School has been so hectic along with everything else I have been doing. Day nine's challenge is to blog about something that I am proud about in the last few days. I would have to say that I am very proud of myself for pushing myself to workout. I always dread it and that is why I haven't done it in a really long time, but I did really good this week. I have forgotten how amazing it feels!

Day Eight

A short term goal I have this month is to start reading more for myself. Since I have started my major, I have barely read any books, which is sad seeing as I am going to be an English teacher. I started the Hunger Games Trilogy and have remembered how much I love reading. So I am going to finish Catching Fire by the end of the month, and hopefully that will get me in the habit of reading for pleasure again. The picture above is fan art of Katniss, Peeta, and Gale that I found online. Go team Peeta :)

Day Seven

So I have fallen a little behind on this challenge. (I blame school.) Thanks to the snow day today, I finally have time to post day seven. Today's challenge is to post a picture of someone or something that has the biggest impact on me.

No, Thor has not had the biggest impact on me. The person who has is standing next to Norse god has.  Jared has helped me grow so much since we started dating my senior year. He makes me want to be a better person, and that is one of the many reasons that I love him. He encourages me to do well in school and to become a better person altogether. He always knows how to cheer me up and puts up with all the craziness that is me. I love him very much.

Another thing that has had a huge impact on my life is my church. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for this. My religion is everything to me and it has definitely made me who I am today. I also love the girls that I get to help teach on Sundays and Wednesdays. They have become like family to me and I don't know what I would do without them.

Day 6

Day 6: My favorite Superhero and Why....

I would have to say that my new favorite superhero is definitely Iron Man. He the best for multiple reasons.

1. He is hot. That is an obvious reason, of course.

2. He doesn't have corny superpowers that are totally unrealistic. He relies on technology which I think is cool.

3. I love his personality. I have found I have a thing for narcissistic characters....such humor :)

Day Five

Day five: A picture of a place I have been.

In the past year, I have been to two different places that were really interesting.

The first place is Chicago for C2E2. This is a comic convention. ( I know I am a dork) It was so much fun. I went with Jared and a bunch of friends last spring for the Technology Club trip. There were all kinds of people dressed up. Many people were dressed up in Star Wars gear. One group of people actually was a choreographed light-saber group and one of the guys taught me some awesome moves :) There was also medieval costume shops, comic stands, and a Iron Man prop auction. It was a blast.

The second exciting place that I went last year was Mexico for my honeymoon. It was AWESOME. It was also my first time out of the country. We had a blast! We went snorkeling in an underground cave, zip-lining, swam in the ocean, and saw Mayan ruins. We can't wait to go back!
